Self-Defense for Women Workshop, Nov. 18, 2017
In this 4-Hour workshop, you will:
- Learn powerful strikes that work against a stronger opponent
- Practice defensive moves and escape tactics
- Gain actual experience defending yourself against an attack in a safe environment
This is a high-intensity workshop. Our goal is to prepare you to protect yourself against a real-life attack before it happens. Expect to be challenged.

About the Workshop:
Developed in Brazil, this curriculum was especially designed to give women the skills and confidence they need to stop an attack. This workshop is brought to you by Aikido of Salt Lake and delivered by the Tachibana Institute of Aikido under the auspices of the Maruyama Institute of Aikido.
Directions to the Workshop:The workshop will be held at the Unified Police/Sheriff's Office Training Center. From I-15 take the 3300 south exit, and go west to 900 west. The facility is located on the southeast corner. The parking lot is east of the building (between the building and the Salt Lake Valley GMC dealership). Enter through the south entrance of the building (see map above). Important Note: Because this is a secure facility, you will need to be escorted into the building. Please make every effort to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the workshop (doors open 30 mins before). If you arrive late, you will need to call 385-245-3952 to be let in.
